For 6/1/2024
[ The forecast is updated daily by 3:30 pm EDT. ]
As of the mid-afternoon hours on Friday, ground level ozone concentrations were trending toward peaks in the Yellow category over the Catawba region. The remaining zones were trending toward peaks in the high end of the Green category. On Saturday, high pressure will move off the Southeast coast. Return flow will gradually increase the humidity level and there will be an increase in cloud cover over the western zones. Coupled with lower weekend emissions, this is expected to hold ground level ozone concentrations in the Green category across South Carolina and east-central Georgia on Saturday.
