A native of Myrtle Beach, Jim Creel, Jr. is a product of the Myrtle Beach public schools and a 1986 graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Building Science and Management. He furthered his education later in life with a Master of Business Administration from Arizona State University.
His career has included periods in the sign industry, real estate and hotel management. As Vice President of the Creel Corporation and Legacy Business Solutions, he has partnered in the growth and development of a portfolio of 14 ocean front properties in Myrtle Beach, including dozens of pools and food outlets.
Servant leadership has always been a big part of his life going back to earning the rank of Eagle Scout and continuing up to today. He has fulfilled roles such as the Chairman of the Board for the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Clemson Board of Visitors, Leadership South Carolina graduate and is currently serving on the Clemson University Foundation Board of Directors as its Vice Chair of the Policy & Constitution Committee.
Jim is an active member of the First United Methodist Church and resides in Myrtle Beach with his wife and two daughters.
Creel represents Congressional District 7 and he was appointed by S.C. Governor Henry McMaster.
