Before we issue you a permit to operate, we will need to inspect your facility to make sure it meets health and safety requirements under state regulations on body piercing.

And even after you get your permit, we may inspect your facility from time to time as part of investigations into a customer complaint. South Carolina's body piercing regulations give us the right to inspect your facility as needed at any time without prior notice.

During our inspections, we will need access to all of the facility's property, objects and records.

We can also require your facility or technician to make photocopies of any documents we need to complete our inspection. We will use the photocopies for enforcement of regulations only; we will maintain confidentiality except to verify individuals involved in enforcement action proceedings.
