Ground level ozone concentrations are mostly on track to finish code Green, with an isolated code Yellow possible in the Catwaba region, on this Monday afternoon. For tomorrow, a ridge of high pressure will continue to move into the region, resulting in increasing temperatures and mostly sunny skies. This, in addition to relatively dry air, and light winds, especially in Catawba and the Upstate, will allow for more ozone production and for concentrations to build a bit. As a result, ground level ozone is expected to finish code Yellow in the Catawba and Upstate regions, while all other regions should remain code Green on Tuesday.
