Submit dead birds for testing
Residents can help DHEC by submitting recently deceased birds, crows, blue jays, house finches, and house sparrows. These species are more susceptible to West Nile virus than other species. For more information, including locating a local DHEC office for submitting deceased birds, visit scdhec.gov/birdtesting.
