Smoke forecast for Sunday, August 18, 2019:

A light wind, mainly from the southwest to west Saturday night and Sunday morning, then from the south Sunday afternoon, should continue to move the Able fire smoke plume generally in a northeast direction through Sunday. Weak low pressure will move along the North Carolina coast on Sunday. Higher pressure behind the low will result in a weak smoke trapping inversion late Saturday night and Sunday morning. Periods of smoke are possible in the vicinity of Hearthstone Lakes Subdivision, Rivers End Subdivision as well as Okatie Highway and Argent Blvd. Smoke will be most prevalent overnight Saturday and early Sunday, dissipating by late morning Sunday. Locations closest to the Able Contracting Recycling facility along Schinger Avenue are more likely to experience smoke at any given time.
