Board Member - Rick Lee
Rick Lee, a decades long resident of Rock Hill, is a Winthrop University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and minor in History.
Lee has more than 45 years of domestic and international experience in business, construction, environmental remediation, government affairs and the nuclear industry. His varied career projects include Cape Canaveral Launch Support, Trans-Alaska Pipeline, EPA QATS Laboratory operations, Kings Bay Trident Submarine Base, Port of Belawan, Indonesia Expansion, Abu Dhabi Gas and NGL Pipeline, Ford Motor Company Chrome Sludge Remediation, Bermuda Landfill Reconstruction, H.B. Robinson Nuclear Power Plant Steam Generator Replacement, Fort Benning Base Operating Services and Catawba Nuclear Station construction. Lee presently provides professional consulting, technical and writing services to companies in the environmental and base operating services market segments.
Lee has devoted more than 30 years to public service in his community. He served four terms on the York County Council and also served as a member or chairman of many other organizations including the S.C. Governor’s Nuclear Advisory Council, S.C. Bi-State Catawba River Commission, York County Zoning Board of Appeals, Winthrop University Board of Visitors, Columbia College Board of Visitors, Rock Hill Schools Education Foundation, York County Planning Commission, York County Cultural and Heritage Commission, Rock Hill Tennis Advisory Committee, Rock Hill Schools Welding Advisory Committee, YMCA Board of Directors, Carolinas Austin Healey Club and multiple school PTOs and community service organizations.
Lee lives in Rock Hill with his wife of 35 years, Kimberly. They have four adult children and three grandchildren. He enjoys riding vintage Italian motorcycles, mountain climbing and international travel.
Lee represents the 5th Congressional District. He was appointed by S.C. Governor Henry McMaster.
