Reopening of Public Swimming Pools
In order to provide South Carolinians with ongoing and current information regarding the operation of Public Swimming Pools in the state of South Carolina, the Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) is notifying the regulated public the following guidelines for the opening and operation of public swimming pools.
CDC Guidance for Public Pools, Hot Tubs, and Water Playgrounds During COVID-19 was updated February 1, 2021, DHEC and the Accelerate SC group at this time recommends you follow the current CDC Guidance when reopening public swimming pools, spas, or water playgrounds in the state of SC.
While these guidelines are voluntary, it is in everyone’s best interest to diligently follow those that apply to your location as we move to re-open our economy and keep it open.
