The CDC's Long-Term Care Program was a federal partnership between Walgreens and CVS pharmacies for vaccinating long-term care facilities across the country. In South Carolina, Walgreens and CVS held vaccination clinics at every long-term care facility in the state, offering COVID-19 vaccines to both facility residents and the workers who care for them. CVS and Walgreens began holding vaccine clinics at these facilities in late December 2020 and finished this life-saving vaccination effort in mid-April 2021. The data on this page is for historical reference and represents data as it was entered into the federal Tiberius database. At this time, DHEC continues to work to connect long-term care facilities with nearby vaccine providers should they need future doses of COVID-19 vaccine for new residents or staff. DHEC has additional long-term care facility information and resources are available here.
