Food Safety - 2018 Regulatory Revision R.61-25

The proposed revision of R. 61-25, Retail Food Establishments, has successfully completed the legislative review process. The regulation will become effective on May 24, 2019, when it is published in the State Register. The new changes will be implemented on July 1, 2019. Beginning on June 6, 2019, a series of eight (8) forums will be held statewide to discuss the changes that are associated with the revised regulation, including changes to the annual inspection fee and the new permit fee.

The proposed regulation is available on the DHEC website, https://www.scdhec.gov/food-safety/retail-food/food-safety-regulations-codes-statutes. These forums are free to attend, open to the public, and registration is not required. The locations, dates, and times for these forums are below.
