Permitted Retail Food Establishments (RFE) in South Carolina are required to have a least one Certified Food Protection Manager. Only Conference for Food Protection ANSI Certified Food Protection Manager courses meet the requirement of Regulation 61-25, Section 2-102.20. Other ‘Food Handler’ courses offered by the same or other companies are not sufficient in content to meet the Certified Food Protection Manager course requirement.
DHEC does not offer Certified Food Protection Manager certification.
