The Pee Dee Sexual Health Awareness, (STI) Prevention, and Education Initiative, or SHAPE Initiative, is tackling the burden of sexually transmitted diseases/infections (STD/STI) and HIV in Florence and Horry counties, as well as throughout the Pee Dee region of South Carolina.
Through collective partnerships and collaborations with health care providers, academic institutions, community organizations, private and public business, communities of faith, and others we will intervene and interrupt STD/HIV and decrease the associated risk, negative impacts, and stigma for residents of the Pee Dee region.
Our efforts are instrumental in responding to the fast- growing rates of STD/STI and HIV in the Pee Dee and the need for more integrated and improved quality sexual health services across South Carolina.
Our effort grows stronger with your participation because we build from the bottom up.
