The South Carolina Bureau of EMS and Trauma is a division within DHEC that monitors/develops protocols, designates trauma centers, and certifies Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics and Athletic Trainers. Information on specific processes can be found in the Downloads & Links section.
Effective July 1, 2021, paper applications for South Carolina EMT/AEMT/Paramedic and Non-Crediantled drivers will no longer be accepted (except for the individuals who are state-only certified).
