DHEC will hold public hearing on the proposed Sassafras Mine on October 21, 2021, 6:30 PM. Due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in our state, both events will be held virtually using an online platform.  Interested persons may participate remotely using a phone or computer. Anyone who plans to participate in the public meeting and/or hearing should complete the registration form prior to September 30, 2021. 

There will be no questions and answers during the public hearing. DHEC values each participant’s involvement in the hearing and will conduct it in a respectful, orderly manner with reasonable limits on the length of comments, if necessary.
