The CELMapp application can be used to search for all commercial environmental laboratories that are certified by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control's (DHEC) Office of Environmental Laboratory Certification. Listings found with CELMapp are general and do not specify parameters, methods, or analytes a certified laboratory may use. Analytes are the chemical substances in a sample to be analyzed.
Search & Filter Results
Users may filter laboratories by "Acts" and "Categories" for which they hold certification. The filter tool allows users to narrow results by categories, such as:

- Solid & Hazardous Wastes
- Wastewater (NPDES), Pretreatment - (Clean Water Act)
A list outlining all possible methods and parameters under each category can be found at the following link: Parameter List by Category - (PDF).
A tabular view of certified commercial laboratories appears when you open the application. The table's height may be adjusted by clicking or dragging the arrow above it. To download records follow these steps:
- Click the Options menu on the left
- Select Export to CSV
- Click OK
To request a list of certified labs for specific methods, parameters, and/or analytes, send an email to labcerthelp@dhec.sc.gov or contact the laboratory directly to verify they have the necessary certification.
