DHEC has received a permit application from the Horry County Solid Waste Authority, Inc. (HCSWA) for an expansion of the existing Horry County Class 3 Landfill.  DHEC has determined that the permit application meets all technical requirements of the solid waste regulations and has written a draft permit for the proposed  expansion. If approved, HCSWA will be permitted to add additional area to the landfill footprint. DHEC is holding a public hearing to provide details on the proposed expansion at the Horry County Class 3 Landfill and to receive public comments.
