Hand-Held Devices

Per RHB 1.2.7, hand-held radiographic or fluoroscopic devices are not permitted in the state of South Carolina.  Manufacturers may request a review of equipment pursuant to RHB 1.6.3 Equipment Not Covered in Regulation.
 

Hand-Held Dental Devices

Hand-held dental devices must meet the requirements of RHB 4.6.4.  Dental and veterinary facilities wanting to utilize  hand-held dental devices may request an exemption to RHB 1.2.7 and RHB 4.2.13.3 by completing the Form D-4324 Hand-Held Dental Equipment Exemption Request Form.   Exemption requests must be received and approved prior to acquisition of the hand-held dental device.
