What is Family Planning?
Family Planning is a public health preventive service that assists individuals in achieving their desired number and spacing of children through the provision of affordable, voluntary family planning services.
Family Planning services include, but are not limited to:
- pap smears (when indicated)
- contraceptive services
- pregnancy testing and counseling
- abstinence education
- sexually transmitted infection services
- preconception health services
