EM Family Trust – Critical Area Permit Application
DHEC OCRM held an in-person public hearing for the proposed EM Family Trust critical area permit application on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 6:00pm.
The project proposes to construct a 14 ft wide x 230 ft long light vehicle bridge with 24" guard rails from the Town of Mount Pleasant right-of-way at corner of 5th Avenue and 3rd Street to provide access to Lot 114.
Community Engagement
DHEC OCRM held the in-person public hearing in the Council Chambers at the Mt. Pleasant Town Hall Complex located at 100 Ann Edwards Lane, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
Written comments will be accepted through close of business (5:00 pm) Thursday, July 28, 2022. Written comments should be submitted to Sarah Reed, Critical Area Project Manager, via ePermitting or at 1362 McMillan Avenue, Suite 400, North Charleston, SC 29405 or they can be e-mailed at reeds2@dhec.sc.gov. All comments received by July 28, 2022 will be considered when making a decision to approve, disapprove, or modify the permit. This decision will be based upon consideration of applicable regulations, the permit application, comments made at the public hearing, submitted comments, and any other pertinent information. A recording of the hearing will also be reviewed before a permit decision is made.
What to Expect After the Public Hearing
Once the public comment period closes, DHEC OCRM staff will review all written comments. DHEC OCRM's final permit decision will be made available via this webpage and by email or mail to everyone on the mailing list who requested to be notified of the final Department decision.
