Get Involved: Volunteer Opportunities

Make a Difference at Camp Burnt Gin

Looking down a dirt path with trees and blue cabins. The closest tree has a green sign handpainted with white letters saying "Keep Calm and Camp On".

Looking for a way to get involved outside of employment? Check out our volunteer options below, and fill out this form if you are interested in volunteering this summer.

Cabin Buddies

Work alongside our summer staff as a volunteer counselor and help our campers enjoy the magic of summer camp. Volunteer counselors must attend a training program and commit to an entire camp session.

Program Events

Are you interested in helping make a camp session even more special for our campers? Individuals are needed to:

  • Help make decorations
  • Help with evening program
  • Lend talent, share a skill, or teach an activity
  • Sponsor a meal or special treat

Workdays

Volunteers are needed to assist with camp clean up days in the fall and spring. Projects may include cleaning, grounds care, painting, raking, and simple construction projects. We have opportunities for groups and individuals of varying interests and skill sets.

Camp Burnt Gin is committed to creating a diverse, inclusive, and equitable environment for all employees, volunteers, and campers whatever their disability, ethnicity, national origin, race, gender, sexual orientation, or other identities. At Camp Burnt Gin, we celebrate differences and build a safe community where campers and staff can learn, grow, and experience acceptance.
